Upholstery Fabrics
420+ swatches. Breathe new life into old furniture.
Recover, reupholster, renew.
We stock 420+ upholstery swatches from nuhome, D'Decor, GM, Warwick and V&J Furnishing — chenilles, leatherettes, jacquards and performance fabrics rated for high-traffic use. Bring us any piece of furniture and we'll quote a full reupholstery job.
Whether it's a single dining chair or an entire sofa suite, our in-house team handles stripping, padding, and covering. We've recovered heirlooms, office furniture, and brand-new frames alike. Standard turnaround is 3–4 weeks.
Six fabrics for every frame.
Chenille
A pile yarn where fibres are twisted around a central core to create a soft, velvety surface with a subtle sheen. Highly resistant to everyday wear and abrasion — typically rated 25,000+ Martindale rubs — making it one of the most practical choices for family sofas and armchairs. The pile traps warmth, giving chenille upholstery a cosy feel in living rooms and bedrooms. Available across a wide range of colours and weights; heavier chenille delivers a richer, more substantial appearance. Easy to vacuum; best to avoid prolonged direct sunlight as some dyes can fade with sustained UV exposure.
Jacquard
The pattern is woven directly into the fabric on a Jacquard loom rather than printed on the surface, giving it an inherent visual depth that doesn't fade or wash away. Both sides of the fabric show the design — useful for visible reverse panels on cushions or chair backs. Suited to formal upholstery pieces: chesterfields, wingback chairs, and statement ottomans. Usually priced higher than plain fabrics; the intricate weaving process is what you're paying for. Draper stocks Jacquard from nuhome and D'Decor across florals, geometrics, and traditional damask motifs in a wide colour palette.
Performance Fabric
Engineered with a stain-resistant finish that causes liquids to bead and roll off the surface rather than soaking into the fibre. Most grades are also solution-dyed — colour goes all the way through the fibre — making them highly fade-resistant even in sun-facing rooms. Ideal for families with young children, pet owners, office reception furniture, and rental properties where the fabric takes constant use. Performance fabrics now come in a wide range of woven textures, plains, and subtle patterns, so durability doesn't mean sacrificing aesthetics. Cleaning is usually as simple as a damp cloth with mild soap — no professional cleaning required.
Velvet
A closely woven pile cut to create a soft, dense surface with an optical depth that shifts shade depending on the viewing angle — the hallmark of a truly luxurious upholstery. Works best on structured, formal frames where the fabric can sit taut and hold its shape; it can look heavy on very relaxed, low-slung sofas. Cut velvet — where portions of the pile are cut to form a pattern against an uncut background — adds another level of richness. Practical care: brush with a soft-bristle brush in the pile direction, avoid prolonged direct sunlight, and steam out any crush marks. Available in both cotton and polyester base constructions.
Linen Blend
Natural linen fibre blended with cotton to balance linen's superior breathability with cotton's softness and wash durability. The result has a characteristic open-weave texture and an excellent ability to stay cool against the skin — relevant for Mumbai's climate. The fabric has a relaxed, lived-in aesthetic: it suits sophisticated casual interiors rather than ultra-formal rooms. Ages gracefully — small natural variations and slight wrinkling add to the character rather than making the piece look worn. Colour palette leans towards naturals (flax, stone, warm whites) and muted earthy tones.
Faux Suede
Microfibre fabric processed to mimic the soft nap and matte surface of genuine suede — far more practical than the real thing. Fully wipeable, highly resistant to UV fading, and easy to maintain with a damp cloth (genuine suede stains permanently with water). The soft texture makes it a good choice for bedroom upholstery, reading chairs, and headboards where tactile comfort matters. Available in a wide range of colours — warm taupes and dusty pinks through deep navies and charcoals. Holds up well under normal domestic use; may pill slightly over years of very heavy use.
